With the bold and generous vision to raise funds to sponsor a room at our Domestic and Family Abuse Crisis Accommodation Facility, the community of St Vincent’s College Potts Point are holding their St Vincent’s College Art Exhibition 2024 in dedication to Open Support – with 100% of the commission from every art sale being donated to Open Support – and we couldn’t be prouder and more grateful! This unique point of difference art exhibition was inaugurated at St Vincent’s College in 2023 with their first event being dedicated to Lou’s Place.
With both Open Support and St Vincent’s College being founded by the Sisters of Charity, and now under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries, they are inspired by the same values of generosity of spirit, hope, justice, respect and service of the poor. St Vincent’s College prides itself in empowering young women to be independent in thought, compassionate in attitude and confident to act. This exhibition exemplifies that.
Featuring original works by both established and emerging artists, St Vincent’s College invites you to share in this exciting community event. Artists exhibiting their work include Lola-Ann Davis, Matt Palmer, Damien Broomhead, Sophie Bray and Brett Anthony Moore.
Opening night is September 6, 2024 6pm-9pm at St Vincent’s College Hall (access via Victoria St) followed by an Exhibition Day being September 8, 2024 10am – 3pm (access via Rockwell Cres).
If you’d like to purchase an original piece of artwork and make a difference to the lives of women and children experiencing domestic and family abuse at the same time, we’d love to see you there.
