Thirty years ago, Open Support was established with a bold mission: go where no else goes, be with those too often overlooked, reach out to the margins – wherever there are unmet needs.
Since then, our commitment to this mission has not wavered.
Over three decades, our team has been caring for the vulnerable in our community, by taking away some of their worries, by lending a listening ear, by offering human connection – by being there for them, without judgement.
Just as unwavering, the tremendous help of our supporters has been at the core of our actions of compassion for the past 30 years. To celebrate this milestone, we wanted to show our supporters the impact they have had in people’s lives – so we asked some of those we help to share their story in this video.
Thanks to the wonderful people who have been standing with Open Support, we have:
- Helped 2,000 domestic violence survivors access safety and independence
- Offered connections and conversations to those who are isolated through over 50,000 face to face visits and countless phone calls
- Facilitated access to healthcare for country people with more than 1,500 yearly drives to medical appointments in and around Sydney
Watch what happens when, together, we lift people up.
