Community Connections Phone Support volunteers make phone calls to people living in the community who are experiencing social isolation and/or loneliness. Volunteers provide connection, companionship and support, whilst encouraging client participation in community-based group activities. Trust, patience and understanding form the foundation of every conversation. We thank our Phone Support volunteers for their commitment to reducing loneliness in the community.

Country Care Link Drivers provide transport to people in regional Australia visiting Sydney for medical care. Our drivers provide personalised travel from the airport, train station or bus stop to hotel, hospital or treatment facility, removing the stress of big city travel. Our drivers navigate busy traffic, give directions and local tips and lend a sympathetic ear when needed. We thank our Country Care Link volunteers for providing a friendly face and reliable transport for our country residents.
Shop and Raffle volunteers support the daily operations of the Open Support Gift Shop and raffle. All profits go back into our programs. It is the role of volunteer assistants to promote sales, whilst raising awareness of Open Support and its programs. Our volunteers provide courteous and professional customer service with a smile, often going that extra mile to help someone choose a meaningful gift or purchase a few extra raffle tickets. We thank our Shop and Raffle volunteers for raising funds to help support our programs.
