National Volunteer Week (20 – 26th May) is Australia’s largest annual volunteer celebration. Open Support is joining the festivities again this year by hosting a volunteer party on 22nd May, organised by our Volunteer Coordinator, Amanda Perkins.
The theme for 2024 is ‘Something for Everyone’. Open Support interprets this as a celebration of diversity – not only in the types of volunteer roles available in Australia, but also in the variety of individuals who choose to donate their time to a worthy cause.
In keeping with this theme, we have invited all Open Support volunteers to take part in our “Five Questions and a Selfie Project” by sending in a photo (optional) and answering the questionnaire below:
- Why did you choose to volunteer with Open Support?
- What do you enjoy most about your volunteer role?
- Which five words would you use to describe yourself?
- Where and when are you the happiest?
- Who inspires you the most?
We will then compile all responses in a presentation to showcase at the party!
National Volunteer Week gives Open Support the opportunity to acknowledge the kindness, compassion and generosity of our volunteers whilst encouraging others to give volunteering a go, because there really is ‘Something for Everyone’.
