In partnership with St Vincent’s Curran Foundation, St Vincent’s Open Support proudly hosted our second International Women’s Day (IWD) event this March.

The 2025 global theme, ‘Accelerating Action’ served as a powerful platform to raise awareness about domestic and family violence and highlight the critical work of Open Support in this space.

The event brought together long-standing advocates and new supporters alike, offering an opportunity to reflect on the impact our community has made and can continue to make through shared commitment and action.

Hosted by Emma Rossi, the program featured a compelling panel discussion with Katie Viviers, CEO of St Vincent’s Clinic, and Adele Sheridan-Magro, Domestic and Family Violence Manager at St Vincent’s Hospital. Attendees also heard heartfelt addresses from Gail Hambly, Chair of the
St Vincent’s Clinic Board, and Josephine O’Brien, a close friend of St Vincent’s and generous supporter..

Serving as both a celebration and a call to action, the event was a timely reminder of the urgent need to accelerate change, and support those affected by domestic and family violence.
